Iuliia Rychkova At the time of pandemics when we have had to move classes online, many of our academic habits and rituals have changed as well. This may concern even such a simple thing as reading. For instance, students who used to print class research articles and other course materials now have to read on-screen more if they don't have access to a library printer. A recent study showed students read digital formats faster, however, they absorb fewer details, which suggests students are much better off reading print for in-depth, university-level texts. Luckly, Usó-Juan and Ruiz-Madrid (2009) report that online texts do not affect students' overall reading comprehension compared to reading in-printed context as long as they use reading strategies.
